At the office, a co-worker constantly teases me about a small mistake I made in a presentation. While others laugh, me feel increasingly uncomfortable but don’t want to create tension. I smile and try to laugh it off, but inside, you’re frustrated and hurt.
How would you handle this? Ignore it, or how can I confront my Co-worker with a savage reply ?
Firstly, am so sorry that you had to go through this. If this is making you uncomfortable it is better to talk to your colleague as it could be borderline bullying or harassment. It would be good to atleast let them know casually that you are trying your level best and their encouragement and guidance will help you in getting better at assigned work.
Thanks for your thoughtful response—you're absolutely right. It's been weighing on me more than I realized, and I agree that a calm, honest conversation might be more effective than staying silent or going for a “savage” comeback. I’ll try to bring it up in a way that expresses how I feel without escalating things, and hopefully that helps shift the dynamic.
